Who It's For
If you notice natural colour or greys showing at the parting and hairline, a root tint keeps everything seamless and polished. It suits anyone who wants consistent coverage without changing the overall shade.
It is also a smart top up between larger colour services. If your lengths look fine but your roots need attention, this targeted approach keeps hair looking fresh with minimal commitment.
Duration & Appointment Timing
Most root tint appointments take around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on regrowth, hair thickness and finishing. If you are adding a cut, allow extra time.
To maintain a soft regrowth line, book every 4 to 6 weeks. First time colour clients may need a skin test at least 48 hours before their appointment.
Aftercare & Maintenance
Wait 48 hours before your first wash to help lock in colour. Use sulphate free, colour safe shampoo and conditioner and rinse with lukewarm water.
Limit heat where possible and always apply a heat protectant before styling. A weekly nourishing mask helps keep hair smooth and glossy.
If needed between visits, use a temporary root touch up powder or spray. Book a gloss or toner for mid lengths when ends look dull to keep the whole look balanced.
